What format should the date be entered? Mtd-15

Absolute Excel VAT Filer

The VAT submission date formats are incorrect. The format should be 01/04/2019 as an example.

Firstly, we would recommend that you check the regional settings on your machine and ensure that they are set to English UK and dates dd/mm/yyyy.

We would also recommend that you check the formatting on the cells in your original source workbook.

To check the formatting of the cell to ensure it is set to the UK date format of dd/mm/yyyy (depending on what version of Excel you are running) click into the cell, right mouse click and select the date option within format cells. You will have two showing as dd/mm/yyyy one of which has an Asterix in front it, select the one that doesn’t, as the Asterix causes regional settings to be used from elsewhere on the machine.
