The message you are getting is a Microsoft Excel message which is likely to be caused by the formatting of your Excel spreadsheet that contains your figures or the regional settings on your machine are not set correctly.

Please check, using the control panel, that regional settings on your machine are set to English UK and dates dd/mm/yyyy.

Please also check your source spreadsheet to ensure there are no merged or locked cells.

After any changes, we recommend you re-link your figures to the VAT Filer so the values then update and try your submission again.
